Minzu University of China (MUC) is a comprehensive national key university jointly constructed by the National Ethnic Affairs Commission, Beijing Municipality, and the Ministry of Education. It is a national "Double First-Class" university (a national initiative to build world-class universities and first-class disciplines), as well as a key university under the national "985 Project" and "211 Project". In 2017, the university launched the overall planning of the smart campus at its Fengtai Campus, and in September 2021, all systems of the smart campus at MUC Fengtai Campus were officially put into operation.
The smart teaching sector is one of the most important components of MUC's smart campus, with Huacan Electronics assisting in the joint design and development of the solution. Adhering to the principles of overall planning, system integration, resource integration, and application-driven development, the project aims to use information technology as a means to break through traditional teaching methods, build an integrated smart teaching platform, meet the teaching and management needs of the new era, improve teaching efficiency and quality, and further enhance the university's level of educational modernization.

As the overall designer of the smart teaching solution, Beijing Huacan
Electronics undertakes the construction of the smart teaching portal and
teaching data center. It provides systems including the PenLink
Intelligent Interactive Writing System, sound reinforcement system,
multimedia centralized management system, smart teaching operation and
maintenance system, supervision and lecture inspection system,
electronic class board system, and intelligent attendance system.
Moreover, in-depth integration has been achieved with systems from
well-known manufacturers such as Chaoxing Learning Platform, WeChat
Work, PowerCreator(Hanboer) Video Recording and Broadcasting System, and SenseTime
Face Recognition System. Eventually, a deeply integrated and unified
smart teaching integration platform was built, which enriches classroom
teaching methods and improves the university's overall level of
educational informatization application.
Personalized teaching portals have been created for multiple roles
including teaching, learning, management, and evaluation. Through the
construction of the integrated smart teaching platform, various teaching
application systems are uniformly scheduled according to the course
timetable. All systems are deeply integrated, enabling one-stop access
to commonly used teaching functions and seamless connection with
classrooms. This bridges the pre-class, in-class, and post-class phases,
meeting the application needs of different roles.

The teaching data center is responsible for collecting and cleaning various types of data generated throughout the entire process of pre-class, in-class, and post-class teaching. It builds a multi-dimensional and full-volume big data system. Through data analysis and intelligent applications, it provides more intelligent and convenient services for teachers, students, teaching managers, classroom administrators, and supervisors, and offers data support for educational and teaching reforms as well as the improvement of talent cultivation quality.


All teaching application subsystems are deeply and organically integrated with overall management and control. This not only avoids the problem of fragmented systems but also ensures their integrity, practicality, and convenience.
Currently, 112 smart classrooms of various types have been built in the new campus of Minzu University of China, including 84 basic smart classrooms, 22 extended smart classrooms, and 6 advanced smart classrooms. Depending on specific needs, different multimedia equipment such as the Pen-Link Intelligent Interactive Writing System, projectors, LED displays, touch screens, and smart blackboards are equipped in these classrooms to adapt to the requirements of different teaching scenarios.
