The
smart teaching system at the Changping Campus of Beijing University of
Chemical Technology (BUCT) was officially put into operation in
September 2017.
BUCT
proposed that smart classrooms should serve teaching, realize the
integration of in-class and after-class, online and offline teaching,
and automatically collect classroom data and learning data, thus forming
an integrated system covering environment, resources and applications.
The university took the lead in the industry to put forward the concept
of universal smart classroom construction and the smart teaching system
with multi-system integration.

The smart teaching system of BUCT mainly consists of three parts: smart environment, smart classroom and smart management.
Innovation
is the main highlight of this construction project, which has created a
number of industry-firsts, including a unified single sign-on platform
for smart teaching environment, non-perceptual attendance checking,
head-up rate analysis, Bluetooth microphone battery level reminder, and
intelligent card removal to end classes according to the timetable.
Meanwhile, it also includes advanced systems and functions such as IP
phone visual intercom, "one teacher, one microphone", electric podiums
across the university, and regular video recording and broadcasting.

By
the beginning of 2020, more than 2,000 people from over 200
universities and enterprises across the country had visited and
exchanged experiences here. The BUCT project has triggered a new round
of thinking about classroom informatization construction in the entire
industry and set off an upsurge of innovation in teaching environment
construction in the industry.
Beijing
Huacan Electronics is responsible for the products and development
services of this project, including the multimedia classroom centralized
management system, Bluetooth microphone "one teacher, one microphone"
system, mobile phone non-perceptual attendance system and main control
room management system.
